If an adult becomes incompetent, important financial and medical decisions need to be made, and there is no Power of Attorney, what is the family to do?

In many instances like this, the family has not option but to file a guardianship petition and have the court appoint a guardian.

Our office works with families to explore alternatives to guardianship, and where necessary we represent the family through the court process to have a guardian appointed.
